Dear Parents and Students:
Welcome Back!! I look forward to working with you and your child in what will be a very successful and exciting school year at Knight High School.
In order to achieve that success, it is important that we develop a positive working relationship and maintain open lines of communication. Please refer to this web site often for updated classroom information and please do not hesitate to contact me if you should have any questions at email@example.com.
In addition the following expectations for conduct in my classroom should be followed:
Attendance: Refer to the schools’ 10-day absence policy in the packet the students will be received.
Tardiness: Repeated tardiness indicates a lack of respect for the teacher and school rules. They disrupt the class and cheat others of valuable time and attention. Students with excessive tardiness (5 or more per quarter) will receive a “U” in citizenship.
Academic Dishonesty: Plagiarism and cheating are serious offenses and may be punished by failure on exam, paper or project; and possible failure in course. For more information, refer to the "Academic Dishonesty" policy for Knight High School
Class conduct: School-wide rules are to be followed, including the computer lab/Internet class conduct and procedures signed by all students at the beginning of they year , as well as consequences for failure to follow these rules that were included in the packet of information handed out through homerooms.
Information on how my class grades are calculated can be found on the Powerschool class content link.
For those of you who do not know me, I currently teach Multimedia Contemporary Design 2 and 3D Media 1 and 2 for Digital Design and Engineering Academy at Knight High School as well as for the students that are not in the academy. The DDE academy takes what is a very large school in Knight high school and condenses it down to a smaller learning community. I am the CTE/VAPA department chair and work as the administrator of Powerschool, a software program used by teachers for their gradebook. I have attended DeVry University in Pomona and have a Degree in Computer Information Systems. I received my Preliminary Credential from Redlands University and my Clear Credential from Chapman University. I have been teaching Computer Science courses for 11 years and love what I teach. It has been great working with high school students!
As you can see, I bring a variety of experience to the classroom and I make every attempt to help your child experience success. Again, I look forward to working with you and your child. I hope to see you at school!
